Welcome!

I have started this site to encourage an open discussion about several important topics that I am passionate about, including GMOS, fluoride, vaccines, vaccine/autism link, and anything else I might find interesting from gay rights to conspiracy theories….  join the discussion and let’s have some fun! Please keep it clean and courteous, or your comments will be promptly removed. : )

The title is a tongue-in-cheek reference to the tendency of the general population to believe whatever is told to them, whether by doctors, the government, etc.  It is meant to be humorous and in no way implies that I think all of my readers are sheep!

In the links on the right are to articles I have researched and collected over the last several years.  I am compiling them here so you don’t have to! My goal is to find the truth about these issues, so naturally I am suspicious of anything the FDA, CDC, WHO and other corporate-run organizations have to say…  I will attempt to weed out the junk science and bring you the real information.

The links the “Great Links” section are the important websites that I believe are dedicated to educating us about the important health topics we are facing today.

I’m a helper by nature. It’s how I was raised. I’m not looking for a pat on the back or anything… I really, genuinely just want to help people. For example, I like giving advice on nutrition, or letting folks know if a product is faulty, so that they can avoid wasting their money. I mean, I would want someone to do that for me, right?

My goal is to try to offer something useful every day. Mostly that just means sharing information that I have come across in my research. I realize most people are not interested in spending 8 hours a day researching the safety of the flu vaccine, for example… so I will save you the trouble and post the results. What you do with the information is up to you.

I feel almost duty-bound, for example, to let folks know if there is a food that may poison them, or a medicine that might make them sick. Sure, in general, it’s none of my business what people eat or what medicines they take…. but the thought that something bad might happen to them, and I potentially had the power to stop it…. well, that’s something I just can’t live with. I could no more let someone I care about get a toxic flu shot without the facts than I could let them step out into the street in front of a speeding car. I’m that person in the crowd who grabs you by the jacket and yanks you back onto the sidewalk, like it or not.

So, because I couldn’t bear the thought of another friend’s kid getting sick from the Gardasil shot, I warn them. I couldn’t live with myself if another friend’s kid got a chronic illness from a vaccine when I knew it could happen. If I keep my mouth shut, it’s the same as if I had given them the shot myself. I couldn’t live with the guilt. So I spend my days doing research, reading articles, reading studies…. and passing that information along. I truly feel it is my duty as a human being to do so. I genuinely believe that I may avert a tragedy by educating people about possible dangers and risks…. especially when there are entities who would stand to gain financially if those risks remained hidden. I consider myself part of a system of checks and balances in a world where mis-information is King.

But I get it. Many people don’t want to be helped. They want to figure it all out on their own, or even worse: pretend what you’re saying isn’t true, especially if it doesn’t fit the narrative they are comfortable with. People are sometimes so resistant to accept discordant information, as it turns out, that they would rather defriend me than consider that I might be right. “Cognitive dissonance” is defined as “the state of having inconsistent thoughts, beliefs, or attitudes, especially as relating to behavioral decisions and attitude change.” People do not want their illusions shattered.

I’m used to it. I tell people about dangerous stuff every day. Again, what people do with the information is up to them…. But many have taken to shooting the messenger. This is not fair!

But I get it. People don’t WANT to know. They want to continue to live in the fantasy world where the government is looking out for us, and would never let poison be sold in a colorful cereal box, and where the product you saw in the advertisement works just like they say it does! In fact, people cling to their illusions so desperately, that you would think to offer a hint that something is amiss is akin to attacking them personally. They lash out. They call me names. They accuse me of horrible things. Over the years I have lost more friends than I can count. People who didn’t want their illusions shattered. People who refused to believe that the benevolent government might not actually be looking out for them after all. People who would rather end their friendship with me than think for a second that maybe, just maybe, mammograms COULD cause cancer. Because the reality is: they can. But I get it. People are beaten down. They’re tired. They’re worn out. They just can’t take one more bit of bad news. I understand. I really do. But the alternative is: to say nothing?

So when I see you lining up like good little lemmings to get your flu shot, and I know it’s going to make you sick, I should say nothing? I see the new mother taking her 24-month old toddler in for a “wellness” check and getting 13 doses of toxic vaccines in one sitting, and I know that poor kid will have a lifetime of allergies, illnesses and damage, I should say nothing? Yes, ultimately, I realize that is exactly what most people want…. but I can’t do it. It’s like over-hearing a murder plot and then not warning the would-be victim what’s about to happen. It makes me complicit in the crime. I can’t do it. So I continue to share information… to warn people…. to shout from the rooftops. And every single day, I am beaten down for it. Ridiculed. Made fun of. Called names. Defriended. Blocked. For twenty years now, this messenger has suffered multiple gunshot wounds on a daily basis. So why do I keep doing it? Because I have no choice. Because the information needs to get out there… so I HAVE to do it.

Thankfully, there are others out there like me who are doing the same thing. We are small individual voices, but together we start to create a murmur… it starts quietly and slowly gets louder, until finally people start to think: “what if there is something to that?”

I know it’s a cliché to say “if I can help one child,” or, “if I can prevent one accident…,” but the truth is, that’s really all there is to it. The desire to help others. And so I persevere. So the next time you see something that I or one of my comrades has posted, and you think “what utter nonsense”… stop for a second and think about why, as you perceive the world through your unique and particular filter of reality, this information threatens you? And what it is about that uncomfortable feeling that makes you want to shoot this messenger?

Today’s important, must-read article comes from CNN|Money.com and describes a very concerning (to say the least) trend for genetically altered plants to contaminate traditional, non-GM plants. It is especially disturbing when these altered franken-plants find their way into our foods, when they have NOT even been approved for human consumption. This is very worrying, as is the sad fact that the USDA, who has a long and cozy relationship with Big Ag, decided to retroactively approve the GM plants in order to save their Big Ag buddies millions in lawsuits. Still think the USDA is looking out for our health interests?  Think again.  Click here to read this important article.

In today’s top story, Dr. Mercola reports about a problem that is growing, and should be of concern to every parent of every kid out there. Once again, we hear about the dangers of vaccines, including the newest reports which show that many kids are being harmed or killed by the relatively new Gardasil vaccine. The vaccine, which is supposed to reduce cervical cancer in girls, has actually caused some cases of cancer, and many deaths. The vaccine is now being marketed to boys as well by Big Pharma, in an effort to ramp up sales before they have to take it off the market. Read this important article here.

GMO Primer from Jeffrey Smith

Many of you have heard of Jeffrey Smith, author of Seeds of Deception and Genetic Roulette… he is one of the world’s leading authorities on GMOs. Here is a two-part video primer for those who are just learning about GMOs…. very informative!  Have a look:

Many people do not know that they are ingesting fluoride every day in the foods and drinks they consume. This does not even include the trace amounts that are leached INTO the food from containers and packaging. If you are using a fluoridated toothpaste, and you live in an area with fluoridated water, you are getting a dose of fluoride every day that is many times higher than what is “safe.” Recently several municipalities across the US have initiated legislature to lower the amount (or ban altogether) the practice of adding this toxic chemical in the water for exactly this reason.

I never thought I’d say this. I was a staunch and vocal supporter of Obama. I voted for him and did whatever I could to help get him elected. Why? Because he said the right things. He made promises to us. He ran, and was elected, because of those promises. But he has broken those promises. One after the other.  I must now withdraw any and all support for Obama, and join the legions of disappointed and disenfranchised who backed him, only to be left with our mouths hanging open at his blatent and callous disregard for the will of his constituents.

From Natural News.com:

“Like Obama’s campaign promises to end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan; like his promises to bring out-of-control banksters and oil companies under control; like his promises to drastically reduce greenhouse gas pollution and create millions of green jobs; Obama has not come though on his 2008 campaign promise to label GMOs. His unilateral approval of Monsanto’s genetically engineered alfalfa, overruling the federal courts, scientists, and the organic community, offers the final proof: don’t hold your breath for this man to do anything that might offend Monsanto or Corporate America.”

“Obama’s Administration, like the Bush and Clinton Administrations before him, has become a literal “revolving door” for Monsanto operatives. President Obama stated on the campaign trail in 2007-2008 that agribusiness cannot be trusted with the regulatory powers of government.

But, starting with his choice for USDA Secretary, the pro-biotech former governor of Iowa, Tom Vilsack, President Obama has let Monsanto and the biotech industry know they’ll have plenty of friends and supporters within his administration. President Obama has taken his team of food and farming leaders directly from the biotech companies and their lobbying, research, and philanthropic arms:

Michael Taylor, former Monsanto Vice President, is now the FDA Deputy Commissioner for Foods. Roger Beachy, former director of the Monsanto-funded Danforth Plant Science Center, is now the director of the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture. Islam Siddiqui, Vice President of the Monsanto and Dupont-funded pesticide-promoting lobbying group, CropLife, is now the Agriculture Negotiator for the U.S. Trade Representative. Rajiv Shah former agricultural-development director for the pro-biotech Gates Foundation (a frequent Monsanto partner), served as Obama’s USDA Under-Secretary for Research Education and Economics and Chief Scientist and is now head of USAID. Elena Kagan, who, as President Obama’s Solicitor General, took Monsanto’s side against organic farmers in the Roundup Ready alfalfa case, is now on the Supreme Court. Ramona Romero, corporate counsel to DuPont, has been nominated by President Obama to serve as General Counsel for the USDA.
